About

Dr. Alan Campbell has devoted most of his life to helping people understand themselves, both in the context of their relationships and in the context of their own needs. He accomplishes this through working as a therapist in his private practice setting and as a consultant to family businesses.

Dr. Campbell has been in practice as a therapist/psychologist since 1989 in Stillwater, Oklahoma and has worked with family businesses since 1995. His main focus in both settings is the development of emotional intelligence and well-being throughout the life and business cycles.

Emotional Intelligence encompasses many things. General Intelligence is about using information accurately, effectively and efficiently.  Emotional Intelligence is about using emotions accurately, effectively and efficiently.

For the past 20 years, research in this area has demonstrated that emotional intelligence, or EI, is the X-factor when it comes to management, healthy relationships and individual well-being.

Large corporations search for managers who not only have general intelligence, that is, a fund of knowledge and how to use it, but also have a high EQ. Understanding, awareness and management of emotions make up the trifecta that is emotional intelligence.

Dr. Campbell uses various approaches to help people understand and manage their emotions and behavior. Since 1989, Dr. Campbell has had the privilege of working with hundreds of people with various issues. His main goal is to increase the emotion and mental well-being of anyone who seeks assistance through the counseling process.

Dr. Campbell works closely with groups to tailor a specific message for their events. He has worked with both small and large organizations and enjoys helping conference attendees experience creative ways of looking at issues of interest. Dr. Campbell focuses on emotional wellness and emotional intelligence for personal and business applications. He also has presented on such topics such as team cohesion, the Tao of Sales and managing emotions.
